So, I finally got it!
Yah, that's right ... I ordered in mid-August, it was a build to order so I expected it to take a while, but I had been led to believe October was the likely delivery. So on Thursday Nov 18 I finally got the dang thing.
I pretty much loaded it up with just about everything. Keep in mind that the packages in Canada are different that you US folks.
Anyhoo here 'tis ...
Calcite White
Black leather
Premium package
AMG package
Technology package
Harmon Kardon logic7
Interior lighting
Sirius
115 V socket
Rear camera
Keyless go

Got the hitch installed yesterday ... the Hidden Hitch sits in there nicely between the exhaust. After I rip off the brand name stickers it'll be almost invisible.

Not sure if you can see it in this picture, but the Hidden Hitch has a bar that passes under the fuel tank and bolts into the crossmember above the diff. I like that because it'll really stabilize the load once the bikes are on board.

And now, the rack. This baby holds four bikes, and what I really like about this one is that the bikes are kept fairly close to the car. Traditional four-bike racks stick way out the back and the leverage applied to the hitch is HUGE, especially when you hit bumps. By the way, I checked. The hatch will open without hitting the rack!

Yah, unfortunately I have to for now. The garage is FULL of stuff that we're storing. The next big purchase will be a house, as our duplex is just too small for an active couple with bikes, skis, snowshoes, camping gear, etc, etc. Vancouver market is crappy right now, very few listings to choose from but we're keeping our eyes open.
We actually didn't get a lot of snow, but I drove around in search of some less-travelled roads that still had a bit on the ground to test it out. Did quite well - I tried to force a skid and it wouldn't. I'm still going to get winters though, as I'll be doing some travelling through the mountains this winter and I want all the control I can get.

Ken congrats on the car....
20 inch Pirrellis are fine as long as you don't abuse them.
No problem getting around parking lots and through snow piles, AWD does wonders. But on snow packed road at 50-60mph my older car with propper winter tires was more stable.

Congrats on a great looking vehicle. I really like the AMG styling package. As far as cold is concerned, we are getting your cold front from yesterday here in Vegas. Even had some snow flurries.

I quite enjoy the relaxed drive of the GLK compared to my daily sports car.
Congratulations KenNinBC, keyless go is a great feature isn't it! The 20 inch Pirelli's are fine for city driving, tested it out in 2008 with a foot of snow it had no problem whatsoever.

Yup, that's the problem. Coming out of my car and into my wifes feels so strange. Even though we have the 20 wheels/tires, it does very little to improve the poor steering feel. The geometry is all wrong IMO. Obviously set up for a rear driver, then held over and kept the same for the 4Matic. 4Matic versions should have the steering geo redesigned.
