Potential future GLS interior?

This is the new E-Class, which is a beautiful car. I'm not only a GL/GLS admirer and soon to be an owner but currently own an E-Class. Of course I could not help but to notice the multiple GLS's in the background...looking good!

I wonder if a future GLS would get this interior?

I wonder why they all have license plates? And did you notice the wheels on the GLS in the background? We're not getting that wheel in the US.

Those may be dealer plates. They all have the small 'D' in the blue area as well and they all are E1XXX.

That wheel is nice. I wish they would be available in the US. If it was it would only be on the GLS550 I believe?

I just ordered a 2017 GLS 450 but that is my biggest fear too. I understand that now MB is deviating away from analog cluster and remodeling E and S series with digital clusters. Since GLS being the S series of SUV's MB has to offer, I bet you they will have digital cluster in the next year or two....

The rumor is the total remodel of the GLS will occur within the next three to four years so I doubt they will update the interior in between. They will likely just wait for the remodel. Just my guess though.

If the following pattern holds true (new model every 6 years), there should be a new GLS in 2019:

X164 07-12
X166 13-18 ?
X168 19-24 ?

One would expect it to have an electronic dash similar to the new E-Class.

My speculative guess is that the Maybach GLS will get the e-dash within two years. Then it will flow down to the plebeian GLS at remodel time.

If that pattern holds true, 2018 will be released sometime next year with the new dashboard.... This is making me want to back out of the deal and just go with a Range Rover Supercharged....
