I want opinion on 450 Vs 550 lease. I like the V8 on my '13 450. The new V6 is quick but not as refined as a V8. I can feel the vibrations and turbo's. My 450 build is $92,500, pretty close to 550 but my dealer says that the monthly payments will have a huge difference (500-600) bcos of MF and residual value. Please advise.. Thanks!

If its a lease, and the monthly payment has such a wide discrepancy, then I'd go with the 450 regardless of how close the MSRP's are.
But, really, that residual value shows just how much depreciation that MB thinks the 550 will get compared to the 450. Which is to say, a ton, with a monthly difference of 5-600. What is your lease term?

Historically I think the residual on a 450 isn't much better if at all over a 550, unless I'm mistaken.
The 550 would need to be pretty heavily optioned out to be 500-600 more, a month, than a 93k 450 build.

550's cost more at the front end as well as on the back end depreciation, so it's basically pay to play. That being said, I was definitely tempted to get the 550 as I'm purchasing and planning on keeping it for longer than 3 years.
so let's say disaster scenario depreciation is 5% worse on the 550. that's 5k. let's say sticker is 7k more than that 450 he spec'd out. That's 13.5k total, conservatively taking into account borrowing costs.
that's about 375/month.
500-600 more seems high for a 100k msrp 550 relative to a 93k 450
