It would appear BMW has a good working relationship with Apple. And I think the 2017 5 Series is the only BMW model available at present that supports wireless CarPlay. That said, wireless CarPlay will eventually be available to multiple manufactures including MB. The new MBUX interface may relegate CarPlay to second fiddle, we'll see how good it is later this year.
