GLS450 ACS Issues
I am having ACS issues with my brand new leased car, I feel that the car company “Mercedes Benz” delivered my car without proper QC, and therefore I am having repetitive issues with it. After two dissatisfactory fixes made by my dealer, this is the third time they are trying to fix my car. I need to know is there any way I can hire a lawyer and ask him to write a letter to Mercedes and my dealer and ask them to give me a brand new replacement of my GLS450?
Your help is very much appreciated.

Since it is a leased vehicle - have you called Mercedes Financial regarding this "Safety Issue" - note my specific wording here to be helpful.
I might suggest Mercedes Financial - and a clear pointed outline of the facts to them - is a 2nd access point for you to start.
Under your lease - Daimler Trust is the "owner" - and in essence you lease/rent the vehicle thru Mercedes Financial Services from Daimler.
Your primary remedy is warranty repair work properly done.
"Most states" don't extended their State Lemon Law coverage to leased vehicles - you should check your state Lemon Law to confirm.

Thanks for your response. I leased the car from New Jersey dealer, and my car is registered in state of New York since I live in NY. Please let me know what are my options.

Please see my 1st post about calling Mercedes Financial 1st - then you can call Mercedes Customer Care (800) 367-6372 - in both cases I suggest you have the service invoices - with those service invoice #'s in front of you when you make the call(s)
You can Google New York Lemon Law to get details as how NY see's it.
Good luck - keep the beat !

Finally MBUSA agreed to buyback my 2017 GLS 450 but they are not giving me back my 12.25% friends and family certificate I had used. They are asking to to get another discount certificate from my friend if I want to lease another truck. I am very upset with MBUsA the way they are handeling this situation. I don't. Think they care for their customers. Anyone here please let me know what are my options to resolve this issue with MB.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If your trying to be cagey - and take another added discount off the the Buy-Back/Trade-Assist deal they are laying out to you - that won't work really - the Buy-Back/Trade-Assist deal to replace is that deal - you can't take another bite into that with F&F or other Fleet/Membership Certificates.
The Buy-Back/Trade-Assist package they lay out for you is the deal approved by MBUSA - that key support comes from MBUSA - and is up/over dealer authority - MBUSA sets the exact terms of the deal.
Each qualifying MB dealership/pipeline employee gets two F&F certificates each calendar year - in case you don't know - and yes, once a certificate is used it can't be "replaced" for that calendar year - but a co-worker that is not using theirs can be used on another deal - there is no "proof" required for friends/family relationship.

Thank you! So basically you are saying that my dealership and their employees should have f&f discount certificate? But my dealer is only offering me a 7% off on my new lease once MB buys back my current lease which mb is waiting on my approval. i know 7% discount is offered by most of the dealers, I do not understand why my dealer is not coming forward with at least 10% discount after all whatever happened with my truck and hassles I had gone through.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Basically, he doesn't think he needs to to get you to buy another car (and you're not 'family', and he obviously doesn't consider you a 'friend' ). I'm getting the impression you think your car dealership is some sort of charity deal. It isn't. If he has no motivation to offer you a better deal he won't.
Can you run the buyback through another dealership ? Fabbris ?

Yea see if you can go to a different dealership. Since you're in the NYC area, there are few dealers that can get you 10%. Namely prestige....
i dont know know if the corporate store in manhattan will treat you any better...

As I hear it, Prestige MB *may* be in the process of turning over to Penske, which recently took over Prestige Jag/RR.
Some folks left Prestige MB already - some of this churn might be to your advantage (if this isn't the dealership you are already up against).

You bought your GL in 2016 - since your 1st post on this issue was January about having the problem for awhile.
"Whoever" gave or sold you a F&F Certificate in 2016 - they would have two new F&F Certificates as of Jan 1 2017 - so go to them and get/buy one where you got the last one.
If can't get a 2017 F&F cert - that's your problem buddy - not the dealer's..

Ah, the old 'dealer invoice' ploy.
I'll tell you this : there is NO WAY for anyone but the dealer themselves to know what they effectively pay for a car, and they won't know exactly untill they end their fiscal year anyway.
And they're NOT going to tell you. Ever.
Why don't you start from list and see if you can negotiate something that is acceptable to you.
Pete
