Not good news for us Diesel fans....

Saw this today. The statement that Diamler makes for the quarterly report is almost admission for cheating. Geez, I have 3 MB diesels and don't want them to go away!

Gls350

I am probably the only GLS350 fan on here, but thought I would pass on some good news. It looks like the engine used in the Sprinter and GLS has been approved by EPA as of monday the 1st.

Hopefully these models return soon now...

2024 GLS 580. Formerly 2015 GL 550, 2003 S430.
Very interesting and encouraging. Do you have more info or a source for the info?

MB GL350BT
My wife and I are about to start looking again for another GLS to lease -- our 2015 GL350BT lease is ending end of this year. We have had good luck & like our Diesel, might try to lease another one if we can get all the options & pricing the way we'd like... hope not to have to wait till late this year however... any idea when they will start going on sale / taking orders here in the States?

Based on this Reuters article/report, MB only got epa approval for the diesel sprinters late April 2017.

Except for sprinter MB has cancelled ALL diesel cars for 2017 for the US market.

The latest is they're considering pulling out all diesels in passenger cars in the US.
I think they don't even know themselves how this is going to play out.

Maybe they'll give it one last shot with the new I6 diesel in the new S. But that'll be make or break, methinks.

One would think with the changes happening at EPA right now this would become a non-issue soon. Who knows.
