MB TEX versus Saddle BRown
HI!
Looking at a new GLS.
I have always liked the look of saddle brown leather in cars, but the more I read the more it sounds like MB TEX is MORE DURABLE.
THoughts?
IS the saddle brown for the GLS 450 same high quality as for other mercedes cars?
I have kids but almost teens so not as worried they will make it crappy right away.
Does anyone have it or seen it?
Does it darken with age? It's very orangey to start.

Just to chime in on mb-tex, those seats get real hot. I would not own a car with mb-tex anywhere there's warm weather. Prior to driving gls with both types of seats I did not realize how much warmer mb tex got.

There's a thread in this section somewhere about owners complaining on the MB tex deforming and crinkling. I had it on my Viano too a few years back. There's lots of pictures in the thread.
I've ordered the saddle brown myself, and it's a bit reddish, but I like that. Your dealer should have samples.

imo, unfortunately, the leather in the '13+ models never felt as durable or high-quality as the last generation. I do not mind the mb TEX EXCEPT for the additional heat.
