Backup Camera question for GLS Owners

Question Backup Camera question for GLS Owners
For those of you that are former GL and now GLS owners...

Have they fixed the gosh awful night time performance of the backup camera? My 2014 is practically unusable when backing up at night if it's pitch black. Can someone take a pick of what the GLS looks like in pitch black conditions?

I've tried searching online and Youtube, but no luck.

It is 100 times better. But I believe you can get the same performances with the GL, they need to update the software. It's a question of system gain I believe.

I don’t think so. Multiple folks on here had that done w/o any difference. The camera system is just not good in low light. Glad to hear they have upgraded the hardware in the new model.

When I had the GL, I did the update and that improved it a bit, but it was NO WHERE NEAR what the GLS camera system is.

Looking on parts.com they list the camera with the same part # for the GL and GLS. Course they can be wrong. Perhaps will swing by the dealer to check for sure. If in fact the same # then it's the software side but if diff then I might try the new cam in my GL.

the cameras may be the same but the screen inside the vehicle has much better resolution than the GL.
