After market wheels? (Size/ride)
Hello, I recently traded in my 2012 GL350 for a brand USED 17' GLS450. I had 22x10's wrapped in 305/40/22 tires all the way around on my old ride and was wondering if the fitment would be the same for the 17?
Anyone running aftermarket wheel setups? Size? Offsets?
Would 23's with a 40 series tire fit? I dont really want to ride less than a 40 series tire for comfort purposes. I am fine with 22's as well i just like being different lol. And yes i know the ride is not the same after you change to bigger wheels/tires etc. Just wanting to know if anyone has done it and has insight. Thanks guys! 👍

Congrats on your GLS450! I got mine 5 weeks ago. I like how comfy the ride is with the 19 inch wheels and with all the potholes we have in Chicago, I wouldn't trade comfort for looks. If you search by car tirerack shows options up to 22 inch: https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resu...Standard+Tires
I wonder if you have to make sure that the tires don't stick out since the 450's don't have the extended wheel wells like the 550's?

Thanks. And with this particular wheel, it may look in between a 22-23" wheel. They don't look ridiculously big, and it's a perfect flow. Also, the same offset and wheels work for the GLS you have. Everything is identical for both!
You can go with 275/35, 285/35/ or 295/35. I went with 275 because that is almost identical to the overall diamater of the factory 20" wheels. Nearly perfect, so the speedo isn't off at all!
