Factory order timeline
For those considering a factory order, we ordered an '18 GLS450 on July 27 and have been advised by the Texas dealer to expect delivery on October 28th. Looking forward (actually, my wife) to our first MB. I've got my eyes on the E400 Cabrio.

Did your GLS arrive when promised? Pics? Our local dealer had a GLS equipped just as we liked. Before we could get back to make a deal on it, someone else bought it. We were than told if we placed an order this week, it wouldn't be here until March. Not sure if that was due to production schedule or if that just the next allocation that my dealer has.

Well... March delivery is a bit far/far out... 2018 GLS order are intentionally "tight".
Those dealers that have unsold allocated January factory orders - those Jan factory orders are still changeable.
Interestingly - I don't have my March GLS allocations for Southern region ...

skw - I did in fact receive our GLS450 on Oct 27, exactly 3 months after our July order ... our 450 is a bit unusual as she has Distronic ... I have also read from other posts that the early 2018 GLS deliveries will be intentionally tight as the factory will be changing over at some point to the new '19 redesign. Good Luck in your decision making. My wife and I are very pleased with the ride, power and features of the '18 GLS450.
