GLS 550 running boards are way too small - any ideas?

does anyone know of an aftermarket running board that comes down when the doors open? The stock steps/boards are too small for my feet - makes getting out very slippery
Thanks

If you google "power running boards" or "actuated running boards" there are a number of companies who build (AMP for example) I don't know of any company who builds one for the GLS. Probably have to find one for another vehicle that has similar dimensions and the retrofit.

Google??

Can't believe I never thought to Google it first - (kidding)! The reason for the post was to see if anyone had a solution that they actually have used, or know of first hand. I've checked with AMP and a few other manufacturers.
Thanks anyway. Surprised that I can buy a GM or Ford and they have automatic side steps and it's not even offered in the aftermarket world. I guess most GLS owners have a shoe size smaller than 11. You know what they say about guys with small shoes? They have small feet.

The GLS running boards are mostly useless other than keeping road dirt off the car. I'm not aware of an after-market solution but I hope the refreshed GLS offers a better running board solution.

I am sure the reason it is not supported in aftermarket is that the volume of GLS sold is low compared to say the common platform vehicles like an Escalade, Yukon, Tahoe... The size of the potential market there could potentially offset the cost of R&D for an aftermarket actuated side step. You are one of the rare few that actually Google something prior to asking the question...so kudos!

The running bords are there for show. I dont like them since they dirty your pants. They do look nice though. The car doesnt not need them unless you are less than five feet tall.
