2020 GLE

I guess we can expect the newly designed GLS to look very similar.

As expected, vastly improved interior based on latest MB styling. Maybe Ill trade my 550 for a new one and take the loss, IF, driving dynamics are as improved as the interior!

I added a video as well.

Has the GLE always been a seven seater?
Headrest are different
Mobile device charging port is in a different location
Side window shades are integrated

No the GLE has always been 5. Maybe the new model added a cramped 3rd row ala BMW 5 or it's a GLS.

If the 2nd row does have 41+ inches of leg room and the seats can slide forward, then there's a chance the 3rd row may be usable.

If the GLS had what? a 3rd row? It does have a 3rd row! It's always had a 3rd row as standard!

maybe he meant sliding second row to improve third row leg room when occupied?

Still couldnt find it but read the article. Yes it's an optional third row jump seat that fills the entire rear area when deployed. Same thing as the BMW. The fully articulated 2nd row is an excellent addition.

GLE Video
Thank you! Aside from the grab bars in the center console it looks fabulous. Another nitpick, the jumpseats do not fold completely flush.

Video showing how the 2020 GLE compares to the current GLS. I know it says 2019 GLE but it will be a 2020 model in the US.

The GLS will have everything offered on the GLE plus a few exclusive items, just as it does now. It will continue to be simply a posh stretched GLE just like the present one.
