993 lane tracking package, blind spot assist and lane keeping aid.
When parking, our previous car had sensors which would beep when we were near an object. does this mean this particular gls450 doesn't do that since it doesn't have the parking assistance package?
Proximity sensors are not standard?
Thanks!

Proximity sensors are not standard. There is no self parking without them, obviously. The 450 is pretty barebones to reach a price point. Unless you are looking for a low price on a new car I would not buy a 2019, given that the new model is right around the corner. Just the new command system by itself is worth the cost. The only thing I miss everytime I drive our 2018 550 is my 2017 e43 command. It makes the cabin look much better plus its light years ahead as far as integration and ease of operation are concerned m. I will be swapping for the new model as soon as our present one is paid off.

Correct for front/rear "bumper sending" you need Parking Assist Package.
That said - you do have short range forward radar for when a car slows-or-stops in front of you while driving - alerts 1st - then if no action will provide full braking to avoid collision.
