[2017 GLS63]

2017 GLS63 40k service

I’m approaching 41k and it’s showing an A1 service(dealer quoted $440). Is this correct? I had the 30k service done and was expecting a bigger service. Wondering if I should get the prepaid at this point to maximize. Thoughts?

Yes - you're dealer is soft pedaling you to get you in the door ... in addition to 40K Service (B+) - you will have spark plugs due at 45K - then 50K service.. about $2500 or so upcoming.

Decide if how long you intend to drive - 2Yr/20K or 3yr/30K... you do have to purchase Prepaid Maintenance BEFORE checkin for that next service..

Thanks for the quick feedback @fabbrisd . My GLS is showing A1, not B+. Something wrong about this? This same dealer did my 30k. Sounds like it makes sense to get prepaid at this point before the 40k service is what I’m hearing. Correct?

Yes - get prepaid service .... somewhere along the line your Service Indicator got reset once-too-many.... 40K is B+ - then Spark Plugs - then 50K is A... frankly Tafel Motors - Jeff Jackson (502) 894-6829 can sell you Prepaid without any hassle...

Agreed... I do aall standard maint items, oil changes, belts, plugs, batteries, fluid levels and flushes, anything truly I have the tools for and that can be done without reset diagnostics... I save all those dollars for the eventual if needed big ticket items I cannot solve or fix. I fortunately for all of my cars and over years I have had very minimal experiences at any dealerships
