Auto Wipers

Folks,
2018 GLS... Does anyone know if the sensitivity of the auto wiper system can be adjusted?
The glass is clean etc. but the wipers surely wipe more frequent with little rain as is with my 2011 e350. Just wondering if anyone else seems to think the same and if they had any success with asking the dealership about it...

Agree. Too frequent, and too infrequent. And not adjustable. Not a fan of the system.

I was actually looking into this because I bought some Bosch window wipers for my 17' GLS 450 and one of them snapped off during a heavy rain. The only thing I can suggest is using the 2-3 (I don't remember exactly) default speeds. They're usually not as fast and wild as the auto function.

I often notice when in rain sense mode and it starts wiping fast for heavey rain the wipers don’t always slow back down when the rains lets up. I have to manually turn off and back on the wiper to get back in rain sense mode

Yeah. It sucks. They go buck wild for a few drops then stay full speed 🙄

Yeah... Mercedes and its wiper motor... LOL Its a kinda violent swipe as opposed to some other cars I have had. Its not very smooth and the spring tension is way too tight why you hear louder thumps when the wipers move into a mew direction. They push the wiper pretty hard and again why you have a bit a wear earlier than normal. I am still trying to find the best no noise wiper and I have tried just about all of them as well as the dealer...

Related to the sensitivity, you have tired both auto setting on the wiper stalk? Mine is not a GLS but a x166 gl450 and I set the sensitivity on the lower setting and they work perfect
