2017 GLS 450
Illuminated star
I have a 2017 GLS, I want to add the illuminated star. The dealership aka stealership, wants almost 2k!!! Is there a place where I can locate installation instructions? There is a control module that needs to be added, and according to the dealer they have to remove some carpet on the floor? Thanks

@Anthony Thomas this question has been asked innumerable times on this site. Please do a thorough search, and read all of the results. Post here again with remaining questions.

The star is part # A166 817 74 00 and the wiring kit is A166 820 60 00.. Go to YouTube as there are two good videos on the install there.. Also review the MB video as they show what the final look is at night.

as of TODAY ... if anyone has found an illuminated star that is "significantly" brighter than what's on the aftermarket, please share ... many have expressed that it's barely noticeable at night in the city ... just isn't as bright as many have expressed how it "could/should" be ... hehehe
