Navigation Display Showing Buildings ?

Hi All

Stumbled across this 2017 GLS63 showing buildings in what looks like the 3D view on the Nav but my late 16 GLS63 doesnt have this feature, anyone know how to get it, is it a firmware update assuming a simple map update wont do it?

Other than the buildings on the roadside it looks the same as mine (ones a night image ones day) and Ive got traffic signs active.

Thanks

Carl

Can anyone help with this please, Merc dealers have no idea other than to offer to charge me for an update, Merc UK said they dont comment on aftermarket solutions (WTF) when its a standard feature of 3D view judging by the owners manual and has been around for years, 2012 or so I think.

Older NTG 4.5 systems seem to have some tick box options for topographic map and city 3D, i dont have those options on my GLS which may explain it but my owners manual doesnt mention them at all and just says the buildings are visible rather than telling me how to activate it.

My 3D view isnt 3D really, buildings view looks so much more up to latest standards, I really want to find a way to get this working.

Here’s a screenshot of the owners manual talking about buildings images.

Thanks

Carl
