I recently purchased a cpo 17 gls550 and am trying to figure out a couple of things with the tailgate. If i am in the car and press the button to close the tailgate, i have to hold it down for it to close all the way.

Also, when the car is not running, the button on the tailgate will not close the the gate either. Neither of these seem right to me. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

Not sure about when off, however would expect that can't close from driver door. While running my 2017 550 also requires that you hold the button the entire closing process, assume this is a 'safety' feature.
