I love the Michelins (non-RFT) as well. Have burned through 2 sets now and currently running Michelin CrossClimate 2 which have 20k and perform very well in mtn snow during past 2 winters. Also not wearing as fast as LTX did - might get 40k

I tried Pirellis - awful road noise and feel so I returned them and exchanged for Michelins. Pirelli are great for German sports sedans but not so much for SUVs.

I have the Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus tires and the tread depth is 3mm just shy of 15,000 miles.

Love 'em...Quiet, smooth running, and the wet/dry road-holding is great.
Even made it thru the western NY winters with ease.
