After stopping by my local MB service department to have them help me get the two dimes and four pennies rattling around under my ashtray, we were able to take it out.
It turns out that my iPhone 12 Pro Max fits perfectly in the space that remains once the ashtray is removed.
Can anyone recommend something that I can use as a phone mount or can otherwise secure the phone in that spot?
Bonus points if the same solution can charge the phone as well. Magnetic/wireless charging is also something I’d love to do.
As an aside, I don’t need to plug my phone into the wired connection to do CarPlay, a local sound shop sold me a Bluetooth dongle that eliminates the need for that. The best part about that is the quality of the sound has gone up noticeably.
I can get the model number of the Bluetooth dongle if anyone is interested.
Seems like there are a few variants, one that requiring permanent power source (Removing panels etc) and the second is plug n play using cigarette lighter, still giving a USB for additional use.

My charger just arrived from AliEXpress but for the life of me I'can't find any instructions for it anywhere. Some people mention a video in the reviews section but there's no link.
Does anyone have a link handy that shows the installation of one of these? Or alternatively a disassembly of the console? A quick search of youtube didn't yeild any results.
