What do you intend to tow? If it's light duty 2-3K lbs, a hitch and lighting adapter from e-trailer is probably the way to go. If you're looking at something close to the limit (6-7.5k) the the factory setup is worth looking into. It integrates with the electronics of the car and adjusts braking and shifting qualities, and even turns off the backup sensors.
(I wish it would allow you to back up with the driver's door open...)

For added hitches such as the one from etrailer.com, be aware that they state the hitch does not allow the use of weight distribution and the hitch does not fit models with the Active Curve system if that's a factor. Also, if you need an electric brake controller, you'd have to find the best place to make the connections. Otherwise, online videos should help with those points.
Call etrailer.com at 1-800-940-8924 for fit info. They've been very helpful anytime I've called them. They also had the pigtail harness for the electric brake controller when I needed one for the GLE 350 I towed with. If you're not prewired, you'll need a female connector for the vehicle side when using an electric brake controller.
