I have seen other instances of this posted. Some sort of expansion/contraction issue.

I have no clue, I don't remember hearing anything hitting it, but it did go from Manhattan to Baltimore to Columbus to Cleveland and back to Manhattan this last week.

Not that I noticed, no rock hits or bangs, I think it happened when parked is the sun Friday all day, sure would of thought I would notice that right away! Was not like that on Thursday, I hand washed it. ????

Maybe some kind of thermal stress. Tempered glass usually breaks like that when impacted by something pointy or with a sharp edge.
