How to get to sound equalizer when in Carplay or Android Auto?
Hi folks,
This is my first post on this forum but I am a long time Mercedes enthusiast and owner as well as an active member on the BenzWorld forum. Here is my question. I recently bought a pristine 2017 GLS 450 and I would like to know how to get to the sound equalizer once in Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Once I am connected to Carplay or Android Auto I dont have access anymore to a lot of the main functions that are otherwise available like the sound equalizer for example. When connected to my phone through Android Auto the audio has too much bass which I would like to adjust vie the Comand system equalizer but I cannot find out how to get to it
Thanks

The response I got from Mercedes on this was that in the early version of the NTG carplay/android auto interface once Carplay or Android Auto takes over there is no way to get to the audio settings. That is a real bummer indeed. Here is what I did to kind of remediate to this problem. I connect a usb key with music files on it to the usb interface 2, the lower connector. I then go to the audio setting and adjust the treble, medium and bass to my liking. This will become the audio settings that will be used for usb 2 the next time I connect my phone to run carplay or Android auto. I had to do several tries, connecting and disconnecting alternatively the usb key and my phone to get to the audio settings I wanted. I know it is a bit cumbersum but that way I was able to improve the sound coming from Android auto which initially was very muddy.
