Should I buy 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class

Hey,

I am living in Australia and looking to buy a good car for my family (wife + 3 kids) and came across this black beast 2018 GLS 500. Do you think I throw myself into a deep trouble if I purchase a vehicle with M278?

- ODO: 127.000 km
- OBSIDIAN BLACK
- 2018

I checked it through today at the dealer and it did not leak oil, or have any rattling noises. Indoor was a mess, but of course it can be cleaned.

I've previously in Europe owned W213 and W212 and absolutely loved them. At the moment, I am looking a SUV that can fit kids and groceries.

Thank you fellas upfront.

Br,
MB-AU

Looks nice

We have a white 2017 GLS 450 4 Matic in Canada with Canadian winters. Still going strong at ~ 76000 km. I know 51000 km less and not sure how much difference that will make. Only problems, outside of regular maintenance, a coolant hose and the driver's door handle did not work with keyless-go, both covered under warranty. Keep it aligned as it can wear tires quickly and run full load tire pressure to protect the wheels from road damage . Even at high tire pressure the ride still seems soft to me with the air suspension. I think you will be good but consider MB or aftermarket warranty as repairs, can potentially, be expensive.
Best of luck, enjoy!

It would be a great purchase That being said the kilometers are a bit high I would get an outside PPI done just to double-check that everything is still sound and negotiate a heavy discount and possibly a warranty to just cover all your bases. Goodluck on the purchase

Thank you mates for great answers and tips. I'll bargain and get it for outside PPI. Let's hope I'll succeed.

2017 GLS 550
At that mileage, you may need new turbo's soon, and I'd have a compression test done to make sure the pistons haven't started scoring the cylinder walls.

Thank you @FWP. I will keep those issues in mind as well.
