Android Auto connecting/disconnecting

Android Auto connecting/disconnecting
Good day!
I have been having issues with my android phones, both mine and my wife, with the android auto connecting and disconnecting. It's not phone specific, does it on all our phones. I've swapped out the USB cable and it still does it. If it slightly move the cable a little it seems to reconnect, but will disconnect if the wind blows on it funny. We store our phones in the cubby right under the radio. Hard to imagine that such a small movement "up top" would translate to a movement down in the console. In other words, I don't want to believe that the USB port in the console is loose. Anyone else having an issue?

Hi, did you ever find a solution to this? Having issues with this same behavior (but with Apple CarPlay). Thinking about swapping out the USB Port/Hub, but unsure if it'll fix the problem.

I switched out brands of USB cables to a higher quality and seemed to fix the issue. Weird i know but there it is.

Turns out that fixed my problem as well. Even though I was buying the Anker "Flow" cables (which are nice, expensive), they are incompatible with some versions of COMAND USB Hubs I guess. I tried the Apple provided original cable and everything worked great! Not all cables are compatible w/ CarPlay, make sure to try a few different types and brands of cables to be sure.
