The 2018 GLS450 Eco display shows Range and Current Fuel Consumption. It also shows a section called "Charge". Here is what the manual says, but it never explains "Charge." My GLS is a gas engine.
It's probably one of those things that slipped through from models that are available elsewhere.
Later GLS models do have mild Hybrid capabilities (48V) and that readout is used to show when the ISG is either adding power (during acceleration) or regenerating power when coasting or it is trying to prepare for an upcoming turn/curve/speed change or trying to help you maintain distance from the vehicle in front of you (separate from when on adaptive cruise).
