Center console removal

I’m in the process of replacing the center console controls with the touchpad, drive selector, and suspension buttons. Does anyone have the full instructions to remove the center console? All I could find in my search was fixing the console lid, but nothing on removing the actual console to get the control panel out.

The whole console is very simple to remove, and i will try to dig up the instructions i have found on youtube and post back later.

There is the rubber mat behind the cupholder that cover a couple of screws. Then there are more screws under the rubber mat under the armrest storage. If i recall correctly, the whole consoles moves up and out.

Why are you replacing the controls, selector and buttons?

Thanks! I was able to get it out. I just bought the car, and the trim around the controls was stained by the previous owner and some kind of cleaner, and a couple of the buttons were worn out. Found an entire console with all controls on ebay for under $200 so I just swapped the entire thing.

Hey, Johnny, a write up on the process would be great for the next person who needs to do the same but glad you figured it out.

There are basically 4 T-30 Torx bolts holding the entire thing in… 2 are in the cubby in front of the cup holders right under the climate control and 2 are at the bottom of the center console under the rubber mat. You also remove the two in the console holding in the USB plate to pull that out and disconnect the plug before lifting up the console. Once you have it lifted up, there is one large white connector and one small blue one wrapped in foam. Disconnect those two, and the console is ready to come out. I actually found a video for it, and I’ll add the link here…
