GL 450

Air Suspension - leveling

I have a 2016 GL 450. The back left air suspension was not filling up. I replaced it with an OE (Corteco). It was filling up and leveling fine. Now when I turn the car off, the air is released and it goes back down. When I open the door or turn on the car you can hear the air suspension compressor kick on and fill it. Anybody know what the issue is? The other 3 suspensions are fine and dont readjust everytime like the back/left one. Could it be the compressor or do you need a computer to calibrate it, or should I change the Corteco out for the mercedes OEM? Thanks

Are you sure your air connection to the bag is correct and tight? Soapy water in a spray bottle is your friend.

When i installed it, I made sure it was tight and snug and not over tightened. But I will check with soapy water, good idea. Thanks

Spray the line completely under the fender also.

Sometimes the distribution block goes bad, it's under the left rear of the car.

I didnt realize it but the entire suspension is lowered. When you turn the car on, the compressor turns on and is really loud. You can feel air leaking from the compressor/valve block area. I'm going to replace the valve block/fuse relay first and see if that works.
