ATF fluid change diy. GLS 550
I am interested to know from anybody with first hand knowledge removing the transmission oil pan on the x166. The book says the rear engine mount must be removed to access some of the pan bolts. With some dexterity, persuasion and tools, can the pan be removed/replaced without removing the cross member? For example, can the drive train be lifted sufficiently and safely after removing the engine mount nuts to provide enough clearance to access the rear pan bolts? There is YouTube on how to do this with a GLE 350, just not sure it will work here.
Thanks
tom
