I placed an order today for a Dec build 580. We were able to change the 580 standard Sport wheel for the L3B standard wheel and then add 443 heated wheel to it. I decided I’d rather have a heated wheel than the AMG style wheel, although obviously having the AMG wheel heated would be ideal. I have an E series AMG and that wheel isn’t heated either.

Looks like they also added some new comparo pages between the 450 and 580 exterior and interior.

Note the “sinGLS” find-and-replace mistake of all GLE instances.
Strange: not a single reference to the sand bouncing mode that is in every press review of the X167.
No steering wheel heating in the 580. Waaa.

My preliminary brochure says that steering wheel heating is available on all models. Option 443.

Yes, but not with the Sport wheel (L5C).

No, since you get the Sport pedals and AMG mats. On the GLE you don't have the option to change the wheel with the AMG Line Interior.

Curious about energizing package. Says it includes heated and ventilated front seats but there’s only one price for 459 and 580 and 580 includes heated and ventilated front seats???? I must be missing something.

Option 401 should just be Ventilated Seats, since heating is standard on all. That being said, you are correct that the DB8 package should be reduced by $450 in the 580. The first versions of the GLE DOG contained numerous errors, and this one is apparently no exception.

So they call this an S-Class SUV but I notice it is missing two major options: Night Vision and Rear Entertainment.

Neither of these were available when I placed my order and the Order sheet simply lists Rear Entertainment Prewiring as standard.

The dealer mentioned it was dropped. No reason given.

What is the rear entertainment? IMHO, anything beyond "a good place to mount your iPad" is not worth having in a car anyway

There is an older order guide that says delayed availability. Its likely there will be a lot of changes after the initial batch.

fab, do you have anything that speaks to which tires are run flats (if any) and which are all season vs sport?

See the codes (R01, R02, 690) under each wheel description on p. 29 of the order guide. It appears all versions have a spare wheel; no runflats, unlike the GLE with 3rd row.

By the way, here is the legend from page 29 of the ordering guide.
R01: High-Performance Tires
R02: All-Season Tires
690: Spare Wheel

Why? You can now build the 450 or 580 online at mbusa.com.

The online build tool is always missing a few things, it should not be used to make a final build.

Yes! Exactly. Plus the DOG has info about options that conflict or other options that are not on the website custom builder. I was interested in the Driver Assistance Plus pkg and the Illuminated Star and online I was able to include them, but the dealership told me they conflict, it's in the DOG. The safety sensors are where the illuminated star components would be.
