Here in the US the "2021 GLs63W4S" Opens" for Dealer Orders November 21 - a Maytag kind of moment since other than the Netstar features that will open up on the Configure screen at that time - so spinning our wheels a bit this week on this one.

No Dealer Order Guide for this AMG "yet"

Looks really nice, but a bit disappointing that the largest wheel option from factory is 23" - I was expecting 24" on the AMG...

That’s funny! 23s are preposterously large and he wants 24s. Ride quality and tire choice would suck.

Really? Are you talking out of your own experience or are you just guessing? I have 23" with 305-35/23 on my current GLS500 without any negative impact at all om ride quality compared with the stock 295-40/21 the car was delivered with. I think 24" would be a perfect match with the new GLS63.

Which make and model of tire are you running on 23 inches? I’m guessing it’s not a Michelin. For me the quality of the tire is the most important thing.

My post #7 above shows a Michelin 285/40 ZR-23.

Those aren’t available in the US, AFAIK. You can only get P Zero in 23”. No winter tires, much less Pilot Alpin 5.

Currently I'm using Yokohama Advan Sport and I think they work great. Another option in 23" but slightly smaller is Continental Sport Contact 6 available in 295/35-23.

December thru March I use Continental WinterContact TS 860 S in 295/40-21.

If you can afford this car, you can afford a set of Winter wheels in a reasonable size if you need them. 23s for Winters is crazy.

I am guessing Mercedes were finally able to convince Michelin to do the PS4S in 23” for this car. Hopefully they’ll do the PA5 in 23” too. I don’t downsize my wheels for winter since I deal mainly with ice, not deep snow.

Putting anything from Yoko or Continental on my cars is never happening for me.
