I don't think I've seen MB cars delivered on a truck with the windows protected, but then again I don't pay too much attention on the road. Your brand new GLS580 got a damaged windshield?? That really sucks, because I heard windshields have a waitlist right now, for the GLE at least.

I have no way to tell if I got the right windshield or not and since it's on a lease I don't particularly care at this point.

This one is ours. Bought with 12 miles on the clock 10 days ago, now up to 1,500 after a family road trip to the coast. Love it!!

Many thanks!! We really like it. And have to admit, while I’m sure the 580 V8 is a total riot to have under your right foot - we are quite impressed with the 450 engine as well. It pulls so smoothly and quickly. Really quite impressive to us.
Waiting for fall to arrive, and then this and the other cars get full detail. Clay, two polish, to wax, rainx glass, rims as well. Destroys my hands and lower back, takes a couple of days per car, but so worth it and lasts for a couple of years thankfully before noticing it needs it again.

Agree. Our MY18 GLS450 is as you describe. But we have now found ourselves with an 18' enclosed auto hauler with a classic car inside. On flat roads she tows well. On overpasses or steeper grades, the lack of hp and torque are evident. Thinking we will start "peeking" at the MY22 GLS580's next summer / fall to enjoy tows to more distant events.

Just got our kids hauling dadmobile last week. We’re pretty much a Porsche family but unfortunately they don’t make 3 row SUVs. Swapped for my Cayenne.

Nice Turismo!
Really really glad you’re not my neighbor, otherwise I’d probably be on Cops blasting through the Eisenhower tunnel in one of your cars!
Closest I’m probably going to get to a porsche is my mk7 GTI that I do adore. It’s was introduced me to MB in general 3 years ago when I realized VAG nailed the GTI as good as ever with the 7 and was putting too many miles on it commuting as my only car. Enter the CPO W212 in 2017 with 22k on the clock (2014 lease return) as my second car. Love it like crazy, which led me to our GLS as the replacement to the ole’ Booger Bucket 2013 Toyota Highlander (which ranks as the best vehicle we’ve ever owned, but not the most enjoyable. There is a difference between the two).

It took 8 months, but the wait was worth it. The Tartufo interior looks amazing with the Cardinal Red. I was tempted to go for the 5-spoke 21-inch wheels, but the potholes in my area scared me.
If you look carefully, you can see that it came in with black locking lug nuts. Since taking the photo, my dealer has replaced them with silver ones.
