My wife’s last car had the night trim package and thought it was odd that it wasn’t an option on the GLS. I prefer the chrome delete for the majority of the trim so I had the following done:
chrome mudguards front and rear wrapped in satin black
chrome detail on the front and rear bumpers wrapped in satin black
chrome trim around the windows wrapped in gloss black
side view mirrors wrapped in gloss black
It looks so much better with the majority of the trim deleted. I’m looking into getting the black wheel arches color matched to iridium silver as well
How much did that wrap job cost? And does the installer have to remove a bunch of body trim/moldings, or just wrap in place (nothing removed from the vehicle)?

I got a package discount as I had the car color corrected, PPF on the hood/bumper/fenders/headlights, etc. plus ceramic coating everything including the wheels.
I think a good price for the chrome delete would be in the $800 range. No parts were removed from the car during the process.
In the GLS580 the arches are painted to the color of the body as you well know. Unfortunately unlike previous generation, this piece is no longer part of the body panel, but is rather a separate trim panel. So when you get close you see the gaps in the panel and the gap is somewhat asymmetrical. It annoys the hell out of me. But I guess it's much better than the 450's black plastic arch...
In the US, the GLS450 is not available with the AMG styling and night package is always an add on to the AMG styling. So it’s not available on the US GLS450.

I agree, but we chose Obsidian Black Metallic and that goes a long way to obscure the plastic wheel arches. Can't understand why MB didn't do better on that for the 450.
