GLS cargo mat with Burmeister 3D?
Hi - I am new to MB vehicles. I am taking delivery of a new 2020 GSL580 in a few days and it has the Burmester 3D sound package. WeatherTech website says they don't offer cargo mats for that option.
Does anyone know why?
TY!

I just got 1st row, 3rd row, and full cargo mats for my 580. Unfortunately 2nd row is the one I need most but it is not available for the Executive package. I asked them about it a month ago and they said 8-10 weeks.
Burmester 3D has extra equipment in the trunk which is also why it deletes your spare tire. You can email Weathertech and ask them if they plan to offer a mat for this config.

I have the Burmester 3D and today I bought the WeatherTech cargo liner (Canadian store in Toronto), and it fits perfectly, even if their website says that it does not ft those with Burmester. the dimension above is the same.. the only difference is underneath instead of the spare tire you have a big amplifier and woofer.

Related note about the third row floor vents. As a previous poster showed the mats block these. I ended up cutting them with a knife. I tested it and the weird thing is these vents are only used for heating not cooling. Someone else mentioned that he got an overheating warning when his was blocked. Something to be careful about.

Good point.

in fact, the styrofoam black piece is completely covering the amplifier and speaker so regardless of the cargo liner, the electronics are always covered by an object above it. The free cargo liner MB gave also covered entire space wall to wall so must be blocking the air flow.
btw, the rumours i have heard is that MB uses stock speakers only behind the Burmester grill.. at least the woofer is a stock speaker as seen in the image... so perhaps only Burmester amplifier and their sound profile, software etc is used but the speakers for all you know could be regular MB.

I was referring to the 3rd row vents as seen in the first picture here. I don't know if these are optional but if you have them you need to make sure they are not being blocked by the mats.

Does anyone have the full cargo mat? How does it fold up when the 3rd row is up and in use? Can it be folded up or do you have to remove it entirely?

I have the MB OEM full cargo mat. When I want to use the 3rd row, I either have to take the cargo mat out completely, or fold it over into a scrunched taco (it's semi-rigid) and slide it next to the 3rd row passenger and have them hold it out of the way of the closing liftgate, meaning only one of the two 3rd row seats can be up (assuming the 2nd row is also occupied).

I have the weathertexh along the floor of the second row, and its perfect. I have the MB carpet pad that is soft rubber backed for the cargo area, and really like it. Waterproof underneath it, Easily rolls up like a tootsie roll behind the 3rd row when used, and can grip the velcro for placement blocks. Also insulates sound back there. We also have the foldable bumper guard piece that attaches underneath it to protect the bumper of scratches, and your pants when the car is dirty snd you’re leaning to the back to grab something.
