Weathertech cargo area liner available
Just got an email from Weathertech indicating that the cargo liner for the area behind the second row (with the third row folded down) is now available for order. Mine is on the way.

I have two of the Weathertech AVM liners in my GLS/Bentayga trunks, and like them a lot. They act like rubber in being grippy and easy to clean. I bought one from Costco for $30 and when they ran out bought one direct for $50. Their older plasticized floor mats, which MB resell, are crap.

Does anyone have any pictures of the Weathertech floor mats in their new GLS? I have the 6-seat configuration and they have ZERO pictures of it on their website or anywhere online. MB said they still don't have all-weather options for the 3rd row to even buy through the dealership (which seemed overpriced when I saw that it wasn't anything special).

I can send you pic of mine. Have both 1-2-3 row floor mats from Mercedes when I bought in February and I also bought the 2/3 row one piece mat from weathertech since it covered the pass through go 3rd row which the OEM ones don’t. Now trying to sell my unused 2/3rd row floor mats from Mercedes

At the moment I can only offer a pic of the rear trunk liner with all seats upright if you want that. I ordered the one piece 2nd/3rd row floor mat for 6 seat config, but they sent me front floor mats. 🤦♂️ I shipped it back and they should receive it today, so I'm guessing I'll have the piece I actually ordered by mid to late next week. Unless this is an indicator that they are selling parts they don't have yet, but the rep that responded to my email didn't mention this being the case.

Oh wow! Thank you for sending the pictures! I see you still have the blue liner over the trunk plates...I think we will keep ours on as long as we can. I definitely will be ordering the trunk liner. Looking forward to seeing the mats in the 2/3. Did you get the ones in the front seats too?

WeatherTech sent me the front mats instead of the 2/3 that I ordered by mistake. So I held them in my hand, but didn't install. They looked sharp and the color was the same as the trunk liner. I'm sure they would look good, but for my purposes the stock mats are fine. I wanted the rear floors covered to ease cleaning for the baby (wife being induced on Friday!!!) and the occasional passenger or 2. For the front, any one old enough to ride shotgun already knows what time it is about being tidy. 😊

Yea, I didn't realize those blue liners were there until I got it back from the PPF and ceramic coating shop. I only drove it home the night i purchased, then to the shop the next morning. Since this meant this area wasn't coated, I figured I'd leave the liner on until it gets damaged since I like blue anyway.

Yep, I installed it last weekend. We've had a base installed in my wife's GLA for the past month or so. After installing that one we went to an event at the fire station where they show you and they were shocked I covered all the bases. They tried 2 different alternate methods and ran into the same issues I fought for like an hour at home before concluding that I had chosen the best way. The install in the GLS was the same except the rake of the seat is steeper so I needed to add a bigger rolled up towel to get the seat completely level.

The adventures of car seat installation will not stop as they move to bigger seats, high back boosters, etc... Stroller wrangling, playpen construction, and packing more things for one person than you have ever packed for yourself in your entire life. You picked a well sized car for it all...wished we had this around when we were first time parents. Stay safe out there. Hopefully you guys are at a hospital with my company’s equipment (Philips). We make really nice monitoring equipment (one of those things you never pay attention to until you are in a hospital). Yes, this is the same company that makes LED light bulbs, Sonicare, Nerelco, Avent, and other electronics...
I'll keep an eye out for the equipment. We have been happy with our experience at the hospital during their tours, child birth class, etc but I didn't take note of the equipment manufacturer at the time.

No problem, happy to help while I still can before things get crazy! Fast turn around meaning getting the correct mat after the wrong item was shipped? It took about 4 days for return shipping but only 2 days from them to me. They shipped the correct part the same day they received the return. Overall I'm happy with the speed of the transaction, things happen. I may email and ask about the lip of the mat blocking those 3rd row vents but I'm going to sleep on it then decide if I care enough.

I also want to see some too. I wonder if the 3rd row floor liners still block the A/C vents on the floor by the raised lip of the liner. Just because of this I am inclined to get the MB branded ones (assuming those wouldn't block the vents)....
