Hello all,

We just took delivery of a 2020 GLS 580. Lovely so far, however, I noticed that the HUD isn't quite as clear as what we are used to on a BMW. The sharpness or focus seems to be off and I don't see any options to adjust it.

Anyone else notice this with theirs?

if you press home/menu or the left side of your steering wheel and browse all the way to the right you will see a small Options icon on the top for hud.That should let you adjust it

 

Thanks, I've been able to adjust it up and down as well as the brightness, however, the blurriness is still there. I will try again.

 

I don't think focus change is possible. My BMW doesn't have focus function either. but I do agree, BMW's HUD is so much sharper.
I love the fact that HUD on GLS let's me configure and rearrange things.

 

did you wipe the hud glass on the dash? Might be greasy or dusty

 

I testdrove a GLE450 that had focus issues, that is not normal, the hud when it’s ok is really sharp and you should have it checked by tech.

 

Posted a photo so you all can see if your HUDs are like this one.

Agree, that is definitely not right. Mine is in much better focus than this.

For what it’s worth, I had a problem with rear camera in dark for the new ‘14 GL. Eventually there was a software fix. It’s important to register the complaint.
