Propane Gas Smell while Driving with window open
New to this site - have a new 2020 GLS 450 and ever since I've received it there is a gas smell (not gasoline) but propane like (actually the additive Ethyl Mercaptan) while driving with drivers side or passenger side window open. More pronouncing smell at 50 km/h. It's been to dealer and Mercedes Canada techs contacted. It now has 4600 km on it so that eliminates any smells from undercoating or manufacturer finishes. This smell has everyone stumped and if anyone has any ideas as to what this could possibly be I'm all ears. I know the solution would be to keep the windows closed but I do like my fresh air on occasion.

as. Said in my previous post: there is a technical service bulletin on this. It has to do with relocating a line over the rear axel. I posted this back in September! My car was in for three visits before they fixed it. I am surprised they missed this as the repair is directly from MB!

We have the same problem with a new GLE 350 de and quite surprised found out this issue has been logged here as we did a lot of research on the internet.
Could you eventually figure what was the root cause of the issue and how it has been fixed?
Thanks,
