has anyone else had issues with their Air Balance fragrance in the GLS. I’m 100% sure it’s not working because I have another car with it and it’s very strong.
The fragrance intensity is fully adjustable using MBUX. Is it possible it’s set to “off” in the vehicle you are concerned about. See pic in manual with instructions on checking/adjusting the fragrance intensity.

I put mine into the main dealer for the air balance not working and after about six hours he came to the conclusion everything was fine and it was just very subtle. Not having anything to really compare it to I had to except his findings but this was 3 months ago and I still can't smell anything. I shall wait until it is due a service in November and let them have another go at it.

Any updates on this, I have the same issue. Dealer has looked it twice and always say it is working fine, but nobody in our family, including the kids cannot smell anything other than occasional very light scent if you stick your nose right next to the middle vents.
Mine isn’t working either. Oh, yeah, that’s because the salesperson forgot to enter it into NETSTAR when we ordered it - even though I specifically asked for it. Nobody noticed until a month before delivery. The only option was to refuse the car then wait another 5 months. We just told everyone not to fart in the car 😬

Wait, you mean you bought the option but the salesperson didn't add to to the build? Why 5 months?

Told them we wanted it. Sales order generated and entered in netstar. I approved the order (not looking hard enough and assuming(!) what I asked for was there.
by the time I noticed it, the build was locked. Only way to get it was to make a new build which would have been another 4-5 months to go to the bottom of the pile and wait. We never paid for it.
I made a list of the most obvious things to check. Thanks to sackboydad I had to add one to the very top:
1. Make sure your car actually has the Air Balance package
2. Make sure there is a glass fragrance jar in your glove box
3. Make sure there is liquid fragrance in the jar
4. Turn your AC to the highest fan speed for testing
5. Go to AC Menu - Air Quality - Air Freshener and make sure all 3 red lights are on (it took me a while to find this. I thought it would be under Comfort)
If at this point you don't get any scent then you need to take it to the dealer. Even on the lowest setting I can smell a subtle fragrance. On the highest setting it is unmistakable. I guess the last tip is make sure there is nothing wrong with your sense of smell.

i believe this does not work with Ionizer setting on!? Mine also not working as i expected and in day 2, i just tried shutting ionizer off and tried the fragrance, i could smell a bit more.. not sure this is true but try out

Mine still does not work after 8 months.. except when I took the bottle out, pressed the opening on the top and few drops spilled... then my car smelled for 2-3 days :-) not sure what is wrong

Any time I do a custom build, I always have them print out the MSRP sheet and send it to me one month before the build is scheduled. Then I look through line by line and make sure all of my requests are correct. I have caught three instances of it being incorrect, sometimes with multiple errors. Unbelievable but true.
Mine never worked in my GLE. Used to work in my E and was noticeable, even on lowest setting. Haven't bothered to have dealer look at it - would not have selected that option had I not taken the car from dealer stock over the summer.
Had same issue, no smell. Took the car to the dealer several times and finally they agreed that it does not smell...
There was an issue with the housing not opening the actuator properly, that was replaced and it is now working..
