Haha. my intention was not to make a fake GLS63. I just like the Panamericana grille over the standard 580 grille.

Looks fantastic! I have been waiting to find a Panamericana grille to fit. I did not think any grilles were currently available to fit the GLS grille opening. I was hoping for a good aftermarket one to show up. I love my GLS580 appearance except the grille and want to change it ASAP. Can you provide details of the installation and parts source? Do all your features and sensors work now? Did you have to "Fit" any part?
I like the vertical grills, and your Eboard too, I've been a skateboarder for 35 years and have not had the chance to ride one lol!

I've been looking out for any aftermarket Panamericana grille even before I picked up my GLS580.
finally one showed up on e-bay (I think the seller still have some listed currently). Took a chance to try it.
the grille (to my surprise) was a PERFECT fit. there is a original plastic grille backing support piece that I had to reuse. that plastic pice, I had to trim it to match flush against the new Panamaricana grille.
all the sensors work like champs. no issues whatsoever.
I noticed the eBay seller hiked up the price by 25% since I bought the first one.

Thank you for the feedback. Did you remove the entire bumper cover for the install? I am going to order it.
entire bumper cover had to come off.
when you take the existing grille out, it's actually two pieces: the front facing.
then there's a black plastic backside. that one is for support and bracing the front grille. you reuse that piece.
that one, you have to cut it to discard the bottom side. only the top side is needed to hold the new grille and give it some support from the back.
otherwise, it's straight forward. the Panamericana grille fit without any modifications. the sensor and the camera clicks right on it.

That part of the aftermarket grill bugs me and I am thinking of getting a 3D print of one to fix that on mine. Did you purchase the backing support or modify the old one? Did your Grille come with the AMG or did you add it? If you added it where did you get it and how did you mount it? Missing a tooth!

i bought this kit from mercteil website, the spare parts come from genuine, you can find spare parts to upgrade to gls 63. The grille comes with an abs plastic frame to replace the original chassis of the car. A full kit including the amg badge is quite expensive, I had to shell out 2700 € including shipping fee for this kit. But quality and warranty are genuine. however you can also buy a kit with 8/10 quality and quite cheap coming from china they also come with frame and logo, if you are not the type of person who is too strict about small details then me Think you can choose it to upgrade! After all, it's just plastic! I will give you the link for reference, because my friend also oder that kit from China and when I compare it it doesn't make much difference. However, I recommend that you go to experienced garages to do the assembly if you want a homogeneous beautiful product and not be affected by the standard joints of the car.

Finally installed on a GLS 450.
Not trying to pose as an AMG, Just in the United States there’s no option for the sport or night package on a 450 and the pan America grill looks much better than the old looking silver one. Kind a wish it had some mesh or something behind it because it’s really wide open.
It would be awesome if somebody 3-D printed or otherwise created a little stick on piece for that missing middle top chrome “tooth”. I don’t really have any ideas that would look good.
Now I just need to do something about those fake driving/fog lights...I was thinking about just painting them black because no one makes an insert replacement. Heck I was even thinking about getting a GLS 600 Maybach one and painting it black.

Gave my son a project to try on his new 3D printer. A little finesse and paint with added chrome tape. The first prototype was aluminum duct tape and looked pretty good.
