retro fit tyre monitoring

Hi all
I have a new 2020 GLS 450
can you retro fit tyre monitoring at all?
Hoping to add it to the MBUX

Are you talking about tire pressure monitoring? That's standard on all models. But I know in the past they would disable this in certain countries. If you don't have it you might try asking the custom coders about it.

TPMS tire pressure reading not standard in all countries

In Canada TPMS with pressure readout is not standard. There are no sensors in the wheels. My MB dealer says you can't just enable it even if you add sensors in the wheels. Mine is a GLS580 and the readout is there, it is -- blank tire pressure. I would love to have this feature because I am constantly changing tire pressure for no load and maximum load where you must increase tire pressure for safety.

Oh yeah lack of sensors would be a problem...

I really hate how they remove features based on country. Especially safety related things like tire pressure and seat belt warnings.

In the past it was the opposite. Canada got individual tire pressure readouts in the dash while US only got a generic warning. I have no idea why they've flipped this.
