Airmatic lowers at 140kmph?

My previous ML with Airmatic lowers at 100kmph in most modes. GLS lowers at 140kmph who normally drives that speed in North America? Why the change from 100? Can this be changed to lower at 100kmph like other MB models?

Automatic lowering at speeds above 87mph?

I asked the same question over on the GLE thread. I was told that GLE lowers to -1 at speeds under 140kmph likely 100kmph.

Has anyone with a GLS noticed Airmatic automatic lowering at lower speed than 140?

The GLE manual states the same for lowering as the GLS Airmatic automatically lowers at 140kmph.

Yes, according to the owners manual the GLS (2020+) will automatically lower above 80km/h (50mph) or 115km/h (71mph) but it seems to only occur when in “off rode” driving program.

In Off Road mode etc. it lowers from a +1 level to Normal or 0 level. What I am describing is going from Normal level or 0 to -1.

I noticed that in Comfort, it starts at 0, then lowers to -1 at 80mph.
Curve mode starts at -1.
Sport+ starts at -2.
Offroad starts at +1.

It says right there in those first 2 pages of the manual that Comfort, Curve, and Economy all start at Normal and lower above 140 km/h. That means it goes from Normal to -1.

As for your next question of whether this can be changed that's something you would have to ask the custom programmers.
