2020 key issues
Our new GLS doesn’t seem to pick up the remote key very well.
this is my wife’s daily and if the key is in her purse, with the purse in the passenger seat, it won’t work. She has to remove the key and hold it near the steering column to get it to register and function. We have tried this with both keys.
Today I had it in my pocket with the same issue.
It also is difficult to lock once outside the car and pressing the button to lock the car, she has to fish the key out and then it’ll read.
Is this a common concern? Do I need new keys?

No.. I would suggest you book a service appt with MB Tyler and most likely MBUSA will advise them to reprogram the Keyless Go and Keyless Start in your GLS - you should not be encountering this issue
