Traffic light assist??
So I notice in the settings, there is something about traffic light assist. When I go to turn it on, it tells me no subscription service active. Anybody know what that means, and is their a way to activate it? I’m on 2019 maps.

Does your car have the option? There is a camera involved that shows traffic lights on the center display when you pull up to a traffic light. Meant to help in case you pull too far forward or are far behind in line with limited view of the light.

I don’t see it specifically mentioned on my spec sheet, so guessing I don’t. But odd they would still show it as a option In the system settings, if the gear needed to use it isn’t on the car. No worries though, doesn’t sound like what I thought it was. My neighbor’s Q7 somehow communicates to the driver how much time is left on the color of the stop light, which is pretty cool!

There are 3 different features with very similar names so it gets confusing.
Traffic Sign Assist: Shows you speed limit signs in your dash and HUD. This is part of the Driver Assistance Package and also available as a separate option.
Traffic Light View: Shows you live video of a red light when you are stopped. Part of the MBUX Augmented Reality option.
Traffic Light Information: This is a new system that communicates with traffic lights but Mercedes has yet to enable it and it is only in a few areas right now. This is what you are seeing with no subscription and also what your friend has in his Audi. Here is an article about it.

thanks for this info! Do you know if traffic light view is only usable while the MB Nav system is in use? Or all the time? The reason I ask is that I’m not sure I want to order the Aug option since I’ll likely use Waze via CarPlay.

Traffic Light Information is an undocumented feature so I don't know if it comes with every car or more likely if it's part of the Driver Assistance package. Either way Mercedes has not told us if or when they plan to enable it.

How to disable Traffic Light View?I don’t need it and it interferes whatever else is
I don’t need it. It replaces whatevwr is on my screen. Is there a box to uncheck or otherwise disenable?

Hi, I met a guy that he can reprograme MBUX software to enable the Traffic sign Assist to how up in the HUD and in the dashboard in general. He confirmed it is an option that comes in most cars but not necessarily activated, is the case?
