Parking camera auto-on?

Is there a way for the parking camera to turn on automatically when i'm trying to park?
I'v been driving the 2020 GL450 for a few months now and curious if the camera can come on automatically...
When i find a parking spot that's tight or where I don't want to get rim rash, i have to stop, press the parking camera button and then push the 360 view on the display. Too many clicks IMO.

Thx!

Don't think so. When you get really close to something it automatically turns on. This happens every time I pull into my garage.

Set it as a Favorite. Or ask Hey Mercedes to turn it on?

Or press and hold the Quick Access button (button with car symbol, left of trackpad)

I tried doing this on my GLS and it only brings up the parking assistant feature no matter how long I hold it for. I still have to choose which camera angle/360 I want on the right side off the list. Are we talking about the same button? You just hold that button down and it brings up the cameras automatically?

Make sure you are pushing and holding the button with the car icon below the parking sensor button.
For me, it’s second button down from top on left side of track pad.

This description is what I observe as well. I just went out to double check. The behavior SEPicks is describing happens when you hold the top left button, which has a camera symbol on it, not a car symbol. I actually made this mistake the first time I tried as well.

I was pressing the wrong button the entire time. My brain keeps thinking that the "camera" button was what was being talked about, because it makes much more sense if they set that button to be for the camera instead of the one below it.. Anyways, thank you for clarifying. It will help a lot and I won't look like an idiot in the parking lot sometimes waiting for the camera to come up..

Hi Darlop,
For me too, every time I pull into my garage, the front camera automatically turns on and shows what's right in front of the car. However, since a few days, under the same conditions, the front camera does no longer turns on automatically. Only the beep-beep sound warnings come up, and I have now to "manually" switch the front camera on (by touching the "Park Assist" button on the screen, and explicitly choosing the front camera). Attached (picture_1) is what I am now seeing when almost reaching my parking position : only the "bird-view" from the top is shown, but no longer the front view of the wall in front of the car, because the front camera no longer turns on automatically as it used to do in the past. I don't know why this behavior has changed.

Pciture_1 : Only bird-view is shown, no front view is shown because front camera no longer turns on automatically :-(
I was enjoying it, when the front camera used to turns on automatically, not having to do it manually. Do you know how we can have it switching on back automatically?

Thank you in advance.
Kim
PS: I am having MBUX on 2022 - E200 Coupé

I just picked up a new 23 GLS this weekend. The first couple times I pulled into my garage, it showed the front camera as well. For the couple times I left today and came back, no front camera. Only get the overhead view. Is this a glitch or some setting that got triggered?
