Steering wheel gls580

Wondering what option gives you the metal silver trim around the buttons on the steering wheel. I noticed lots of pictures with the black trim around the buttons but a few have the metal trim around them.

In the US the standard 450 wheel is also the 580 one, the silver spoked one is only standrd on AMG. Our 580 with heat is the basic black one (2021 model)

I thought I ordered heated for my 580 but I missed that it was missed. I LOVE the standard 580 flat bottom wheel. With the rapid heating option with heated arm rests, I decided I can warm my hands up there.

For the benefit of the community, I would like to clarify on what c4004matic said. There are two different steering wheels that have a silver metallic button background, as opposed to a glossy black one. The first is the one that comes with the full amg (GLS63AMG, GLE63AMG). The second is the one that comes with the AMG appearance package. The AMG appearance package is standard on the GLS580 and not available on the 450 in the US and is available as an option on the GLS450 in other markets (e.g., Europe). It’s worth noting that I’ve configured multiple 2021 GLS580’s in netstar and each time of forced me to select one of the steering wheels and did not merely include the black background one and provide the sports steering wheel as a free option. (it’s possible the netstar selection buttons defaulted to the sports steering wheel but I can’t remember since it’s been 6months).

With that being said, the sports steering wheel is way nicer and for me is totally worth not having a heated steering wheel since my car is in a heated garage overnight.
