how late in 2020 did you order, and what has your dealer told you about the delay? i ordered at the end of january and took delivery here in CA a week and a half ago, which was on the earlier end of the delivery window my sales associate had initially indicated. fwiw, they have limited/no inventory now because of the chip shortage.

Placed the order in March of 2020 for 2021 GLS63, dealer has pushed back claiming chip shortage and said possible May production with June delivery, but I don't think that's happening.

2018 E400 Wagon 2021 GLS 580
Fully optioned 580 was ordered 1/23/2021 finished production 5/21 one week early and released to carrier 5/25. Any explanation from your dealer?

Semiconductor / chip shortage.
He said some vehicles are getting options deleted and delivered and others are just being held back in production until correct parts arrive.

So still black plastic fenders for the 450, still no amg appearance package for the US, and still no wireless CarPlay... thats disappointing.

Its typically in July after the 4th of July factory break. Covid may change that.

Mercedes doesn't make changes every model year. I thought I made that clear in my post.

The only difference from year to year is maybe some re-arranged option packages and behind the scenes bug fixes.

I have put in my order for a gls580 last Saturday from Canada.

Dealer told me today it's scheduled for August build. It will be a 21 model
Excited to have it

Mercedesmax, are you suggesting that the AMG appearance package will be available for the 2022 GLS450 in the US market? It is obviously available for the 2022 GLS580 as it has been for the 2020 and 2021 versions. I didn’t see any suggestion in the 2022 dealer ordering guide that it would now be available on the GLS450.
