Cargo Carrier / hitch foldable carrier
Trying to figure out what to buy for my 21 450.
Would love to hear feedback.
What cargo carrier works and do I have to also buy cross rails? Did you install yourself? My only issue with a cargo carrier is the hassle in accessing since it’s so high.
What hitch carrier are options and allows for the trunk to clear to open? I’d think this may be a better option for easy access when traveling with family and staying at multiple hotels on vacation?

I got delivery of my 21 GLs 450 yesterday. I had ordered the cross bars but realized that the sunroof won’t open anymore. They seem easy enough to install / remove but I don’t have a private garage to keep the cross bars so I returned them. Just a FYI in case you didn’t know. It makes sense that sun roof shouldn’t open with cross bars installed…

The sunroof will actually tilt open with the cross bars, but won't slide open. I bought the rails and a Thule storage box. I keep the rails in the box, on the garage ceiling when not in use.

Thanks for your reply. Can you send photos? Did you get a cargo cover for it? Will it block the license plate? Also, which anti-rattle pin?

Thanks for the pics. I bought similar hitch carrier and bag from Amazon. Now my only concern is when I travel and park to visit places and someone steals my contents? I guess that’s one good thing of having the top cargo carrier.
