Anyone have a heated wood steering wheel?

I have a 2022 GLS450 on order. At the time I placed it the dealership insisted it was impossible to have a heated wood steering wheel despite the configurer showing it possible.

Anyone have one?

Could be wrong, but I think the dealer is correct here. I don't think you can have a heated wood steering wheel. It's either heated leather steering wheel or wood (non heated). That seemed to be the case when we were shopping for our 450 last year on the 2020, which seemed to have more options to pick from than current offerings. Seemed like they threw the kitchen sink at the 450 on options then the pandemic hit and some things started to disappear or shift over to the 580 only, which is now halted due to no more V8's. So, not really sure what you can get anymore! I thought we were going to get the AMG appearance package on the 450 in the US, but I've yet to see one in person either. Even noticed they switched the aluminum to I think plastic around the mouse pad housing too in 2021? Shortage of aluminum out there? Who knows...

I had this issue also, in NetStar when you go to configure it automatically bumps heated wheel when wood wheel is equipped. Must be something with how MB has it configured for orders currently. Online builds show you can have both still for 2022

A gaggle of MB's
So you know - the "Heated Portion" are at the Leather - 3PM-9PM - and by conduction takes a bit longer to warm up the wood from there.

There are occasional "production restrictions" that can limit availabilty for a particular Production Schedule - and NOT all wood trim choices offer matching Heated Wheels - and on AMG (when they do come back) you can't have Heated Wheel and AMG Drive Unit selectors/OLED pods - it's one or the other - not both

Yes, this seems to be the issue. Hopefully things change before it goes into production in a few months. I wish there was a way for a consumer to understand what’s available without bugging their local dealer, mine seems to get very annoyed with these questions. I tried MB USA and they routed me to their corporate store in Manhattan and the manager there was not interested is helping if I wasn’t going to to buy the car from him. All frustrating when I’m paying full msrp for a car that won’t be available for 5-6 months from a dealership I’ve never even visited. Strange times when we line up to pay maximum price for minimal service.
