Anyone have Soft Close doors?

the only car that I have in the house, everyone in the family leaves the doors not completely closed all the time now.
I've had the feature on my other cars for over a decade, and I've never had any issues. just like anything, I'm sure some failure is normal. Thank God for warranty.

I have them on a 2020 580 and have had no issues. It’s only my wife and I, so the rear doors don’t get used as much as the front but coming up on 2 years ownership in January with no issues so far.

Soft close for "families" is a a solid + for the $650 or so as a option.
The "advantage" when putting the Young'ns in the back when they are nodding off - no need to close door hard.
The other "advantage" when the Middle'rs shut their own door - you know the door is fully locked.
The OP - at 1 1/2yrs in - you have a Warranty/No-Charge Repair at your Dealer for that
