1st time MB owner. Tire protection cost?
Soon to be new GLS owner. Looking for info on the tire and wheel protection plus pricing. Also, anyone have the Dupont paint protection done...cost?
My GLS is coming with the 22" AMG night rims and it's Brilliant Blue.
Was thinking of ceramic coating with Xpel Fusion Plus, got a price quote of $2200 (or Ceramic Pro Platinum package for $3000), but curious about the Dupont from the dealer.
Im in NY if that makes a difference. Thank you.

In CA, costs for paint correction + ceramic coating costs around $1200-1500 for a car size like GLS. I would suggest you find a reputable auto detailer and spend your money there instead. Dealers are notorious for not doing a good job on work like this

I did a PPF in the front section of my GLS and ceramic coated the full thing - all for $2800.
Who is doing the job for you in NY.
I know a really good outfit that does this and his clients bring in their Lambos, Ferraris and Porsches.
Do it before you drive your car so that it will still be clean and no paint correction is necessary.

His garage is big, clean, and high standard. All of the cars you will see there are Lambos, Porsches, Ferraris, AMGs, etc. His clientele come from all over the tri-state area. However, he is always booked so its best you call him first and set an appointment. Tell him you were referred by Paul Casino - the TRIANGLE CYCLIST with the GLS 450 that he did last year. He will know who I am. I suggest you bring your car there brand new so that he does not have to do any paint correction. He will still meticulously clean it before doing the PPF or ceramic work but he charges a bit cheaper if the car is new. I personally just did a PPF on the front section, and ceramic coated the full vehicle. Was not worth putting PPF on the entire vehicle because it would have been too expensive and he even agreed with that approach. If he is not booked, it takes about three days to do a full job.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I would not give the dealers any extra money from your pocket.
